Did you know that items that you would normally throw away can be used to fund education projects for your child's school? Your cereal box tops, soup labels, and other "throw away" items can be used to help Timber Lakes. Check out our new page that will give you information on the various collection campaigns available. Also, if you know of a collection campaign that we have not listed, please inform Erin Ramirez, our PTA Collecting for Education (Box Top) chair right away as that could also help provide additional funding and resources for Timber Lakes.

Find a partner, jump in a car, and deliver these flyers and packets to the assigned businesses this Wednesday, February 18th.

We are excited to announce that we finally have a stable home for our awesome PTA!

The new Timber Lakes Elementary PTA office is located in Room 105 at the school, and to quote Jaymes Tran, our exited PTA President, in a recent e-mail about the new office setup, "...it is looking awesome every day now if I don't say so myself!"

The next PTA meeting will be held Thursday, August 14 at the new office and will start promptly at 7:00pm, but feel free to come early as PTA volunteers will be there by 6:30pm to set up and they can use the additional help. The meeting's main focus is on filling the various committees, working on the Calendar of Events, building the tentative 2008-2009 PTA budget, and much much more!!!

Timber Lakes PTA gets the word out at 4th of July Celebration

Timber Lakes PTA's very first public event ever was at Avalon Park's 4th of July Celebration. The PTA was out there braving the rain promoting Timber Lakes Elementary by selling T-Shirts and PTA memberships; answering questions about Timber Lakes, the PTA, and school uniforms; and encouraging eligible parents to register their children early at Timber Lakes.

The turnout at the event was spectacular, and the PTA thanks all who took the time off of their holiday to help setup, answer questions, and pack up at the event booth which was organized at the last minute.
